Are you looking for a new challenge?

The President and the Committee of WMB Inc. are seeking expressions of interest (EOI) for the vacant roles of Musical Director and Music Education Officer.

“Both these roles work closely together, so we’ll be looking for volunteers from within our community, and further afield, to fulfil these strategically important roles” explained Alice Weatherall, President of WMB Inc.

Moving On!

After a spectacular finale at the end of a very special year, the banding community and Warragul Municipal Band (WMB) in particular, were sad to learn that Geoff Coote did in fact take his last bow at the end of 2025. Geoff's legacy, not to forget his massive contribution to the success of the WMB's 140th Anniversary Year Celebrations Concert, is irrefutable. We all wish him well in his retirement and look forward to seeing him again soon.

With Musical Director Geoff Coote leading the band, and good friend Australian banding legend Mark Ford OAM as Master of Ceremonies, join in the festivities at the Warragul Municipal Band’s 140th Anniversary Year Celebrations Concert on Saturday 15 November at the West Gippsland Arts Centre (WGAC).

Warragul Municipal Band (WMB), a steadfast entity since its inception in 1885, remains an integral part of both the Warragul and broader West Gippsland communities. This entertaining, family-friendly concert, which celebrates the Band’s connection with community, legacy, family, and education, has many highlights.

Celebrating 140 years in Warragul - Platinum partnership announcement!

It is with great excitement that Warragul Municipal Band (WMB) announce that Community Bank – Drouin & Districts, Bendigo Bank has confirmed they will be the band’s Platinum partner for the year.

And what a year 2025 will be! Culminating in a showcase spectacular at the West Gippsland Arts Centre on Saturday 15 November. Save the date now so you don’t miss out on the 140th Anniversary Year Celebrations Concert.
