On Friday, 10 October, we have our AGM and family night. Held once again at the Warragul Country Club from 5:30pm, this event is open to our band member families and general supporters. The evening will feature a mini concert, supper, awards, and be wrapped up with the AGM. We are looking to get the catering side of things booked in so please indicate the number of expected attendees from your family by emailing secretary@warragulband.org at the latest by Wednesday, 1 October. Please advise of any dietary requirements.
In regards to the formal AGM component, there are two main things that need to occur. We must appoint our committee for the next year, and we must agree on the member subscription fees for the 2026/2027 financial year.
To make this a smooth and prompt process we ask that anyone interested in a committee position is nominated (can be self-nomination) by Friday, 26 September. CLICK HERE for the committee nomination form that you can fill in and email back to secretary@warragulband.org or just pass on directly. It is also a good opportunity to thank and encourage any of your current committee members to continue on if you like the work they are doing.
Any proposals to change the subscription fees may also be submitted by Friday, 26 September, and if received will be voted on by members as part of the AGM.
CLICK HERE for the minutes from the last AGM for general reference, including the latest subscription structure. Note, in regard to current committee members we gained Lindsay (Publicity Officer) and Meri (Fundraising Officer) in addition to those appointed at the last AGM.
An AGM agenda (including any reports) will be sent out after Friday, 26 September once all committee nominations and proposed subscription fees have been received ready to keep the AGM a short and sweet affair.
Any questions, please get in touch with Thomas Cunningham, WMB Secretary secretary@warragulband.org
